Heat Press Transfers

This is a great place to begin when searching for information and deals on heat press transfers.

Welcome to our website.  We will do our best to provide information and options for finding the best deals to suit your needs when looking for heat press transfers.

Heat press transfers have made amazing advances in the last twenty to thirty years.  Back in the 70s and 80s, most heat press transfers were extremely thick and glossy images that sat on top of the garments that they were printed on and had a very heavy, plastic feel.  Those types are still available if you are looking for a retro look, but now they are a bit more durable than their predecessors.

Since then, there are a lot of options available when purchasing heat press transfers.  Now you can choose to have softer impressions that won't crack, ones that will glow in the dark or that are reflective.  You can even find transfer papers that will allow you to print on dark colored garments while keeping your graphics nice and bright, instead of fading into the fabric.

If you are starting your own garment printing business, then using heat press transfers is a great way to offer your customers smaller prices on small runs of garments.  This is because small runs of screen printed garments also have a lot of additional fees, such as setting up the screen, etc., that make the prices a bit to high to print smaller numbers of shirts.

Another advantage of using heat press transfers for your business is that they are relatively inexpensive and mobile.  It is easy to set up your heat press at an even such as a carnival or fair and print shirts for people on the spot.  The other advantage of doing things this way is that it can save you a lot of money on shirts.  If all of your shirts were pre-printed, but you didn't sell all of them, you'd have to eat the money on the unsold shirts.  However, if you simply bring blank shirts to the event with a stack of the printed transfers, you can print the shirts as you need them.  Throwing out a couple of sheets of transfer paper is much more economical than having to throw out the shirts that you may not have sold.

Another advantage of setting up at special events with a heat press to do heat press transfers is that you can offer people custom shirts along the lines of a photo of themselves or whatever they want.  The only additional equipment you would need to bring would be blank transfer paper, a computer with image editing software and your printer.

Even if you are only looking to make shirts for your friends and family, then heat press transfers are great!  There are a lot of options with the transfer paper, allowing you to print your image onto the paper using inkjet or laser printers and even a copy machine.

While it is certainly easier to transfer your image to a shirt using a heat press, it can easily be done using a normal clothing iron.  Just make sure that the transfer paper that you purchase can be used this way.
